Grip's Diet Update

The last time I gave a update I was still employed. At that time I was 332 and I will admit that I hit a wall that became a mountain. When I got laid off two weeks ago there was a piece of me that was depressed. Things had just started to go my way and then this happen. With that I basically said screw it with the diet. I was not watching what I was eating. Anytime I went out to eat, my favorite thing to say was "And then." So with that I balloon back to 336.

After a good talk with my best bud Husky, I have finally realize that this is a time for change. I time to change the bad habits I have and being lazy is number one on that list. This was something that I never really thought was a huge problem but I can see how it effects everything I do including this diet. So with the process of changing my habits comes a new focus. I have gone to the gym the last 3 days and I have gotten my weight down to 331. I feel great and I have a new outlook on this time of my life. So lets see where this roller coaster ride goes now. Hopefully I will be in the 320's by my next update.

Thanks for reading,

Deuces

Chub Weightloss Update!

Unfortunately Chub does not come baring great news this week.  I actually gained 1 lb this last week and I'm back at 378lbs.  I wasn't too surprised when I saw the extra pound this week.  Quite honestly I was a bit relieved that it wasn't much more.  I know why I gained the pound, and I know what I did wrong.

For now it's back on the grind I go.  I am sick once again, so I haven't had much going on as far as working out is concerned (I think I've been sick the whole month of March).

My goal was to be 360 (32lbs lost) by the end of March, and it is starting to seem a bit impossible.  All I can do is continue to try.

BTW, congratulations STEVE, for joining the weight loss train.  Now, don't go showing Grip and myself up too much!!  Good luck bro.  You are lucky you started late, or else the Johnson's wold have destroyed you, lol.

El Jefe Is Goin' on a Diet

Chub and Grip and everyone else seems to be on a diet.  Now my wife is getting on me to lose some weight, so I guess I am going to start a diet this weekend and I will keep everyone apprised of my progress.  I am reluctant to do this because I like Food!  But, I guess I will do it for my wife.  She has promised me some special incentives if you know what I mean!!!  ;)

Anyway, I am going to start it Monday since I really want to have one last weekend of pigging out.  Right now, I am at about 207 lbs.  Let's see what I weigh Monday Morning.  Gluttony, Here I come!!!

Grip's Sad Diet Update

Well hello there! Its me again with a diet update. I hate to say it but I hit the dreaded diet wall this last couple of days. I decided to have my cheat day this past Friday and it ended up being a couple of cheat days! Not Good. For this let down I am sad to say that I have gain weight. In my last post I was down to 328. I sadly report that I am at 332.

Looking back at everything, I figured that the main reason I had this let down was the fact that I had not gone to the market to get food. There was nothing in the fridge to eat. Therefor I was eating out these last few days. One fast food meal lead to another. When I got on the scale today I was so upset at myself for allowing this to happen.

I know that everyone has their time when they lose focus on a goal or maybe just take a break from things but at the end of it we all have to face the outcome of your actions. So I will get back on track starting tomorrow to get my fat ass back into shape.

Update to come later this week.

Peace

Weight Loss Discipline

Everyone seems to be wanting to lose some weight, myself and some of the Fit Not Fat writers included.  Wouldn’t it be nice to just go on a diet, work out a little more and lose all the pounds you want to lose?  Here is a newsflash for ya:  IT DOESN’T HAPPEN THAT WAY!!!

Going on a crash diet, starving yourself and doing three killer workouts a day isn’t going to help you too much.  In order for that to work, you have to have some very serious discipline in you.  Look at how many motivated and disciplined people end up falling off their respective wagons.  Whether it is alcohol, drugs, break-ups or weight issues, many people end up going back to their old habits.

You see, you have to have some serious motivation and discipline to lose the weight.  That isn’t too hard.  Many people achieve their weight loss goals.  The hard part comes after you have hit your desired weight.  Keeping that motivation and discipline going while looking in the mirror and saying to yourself “I look pretty good, I can skip the workout today” or “I think I can hit McDonalds a few times a week now that I am in shape.”  This is the beginning of your return to obesity!

That is all for now...Sorry for the Rant.  I had a rough day!

Chub Update! Weight Loss Challenge, results.

So another week has gone and come.  I never knew the month of February could be so much fun.  So many events, so much food, and so little time to exercise.

Let's see, I had my nephews bday on the 10th (pizza, subway, and cake were on the menu).  I had a baby shower to attend on Saturday (fried chicken and rice w/tortillas were on the menu).   Went to V-Day dinner with family and friends to Palermos ( Fettuccini  Alfredo, yum).  V-Day dinner with the wifey at Gold Class Cinemas (couple drinks, appetizers, skewers, and dessert on the menu).

Pretty much a diet disaster.  Oh and did I mention that I have a trip to Palms Springs this weekend?  Yup.  Let's see I wonder if there will be any type of delicious foods while I'm there.....hmmmmm, yeah, I'm sure there will be. UGH!

Today, I weighed in at 382, AGAIN.  I am going to work my butt off these next three days to make sure I don't gain any weight while on my trip this weekend.  If I come back from Palms Springs weighing 382 I will consider that a moral victory!
