Lakers vs. Dallas Highlights
Just in case you missed it folks, this is how the Lakers followed up their disappointing loss to the Heat.
On a side note: During this game, Kobe severely sprained his ankle. After the game, he said it's the worst he's ever done so and his status for Monday was uncertain.
Hopefully, Phil Jackson rests Kobe. At this point the Lakers seeding any higher than the 3 or 2 spot is not likely; therefore, get the man healthy for the playoffs. Heck, this wouldn't be such a bad strategy for Odom, Gasol, and Kobe.

Kobe Or Not Kobe - THERE IS NO QUESTION!
Last night's performance by Kobe "Bean" Bryant was nothing more than a man determined to show the world that as long as he is in the league, Los Angeles is his town (Check the video up on top of our sports page for proof - HERE). However, such a spectacular, 37 point, 14 rebound (10 mind boggling offensive) performance does not come without consequences, as it was clear and it definitely was concise message from number 24; a message without words:
Memo To All League Stars:
"If you come to L.A. and you have any thoughts of being "the man", you'd better consider coming when I retire."
Amare Stoudemire said it best when asked about Kobe's performance, Amare said, and I paraphrase:
"Kobe looked like a man determined to win MVP. We knew he wasn't going to pass, after all, that's Kobe."
As great as Kobe is, one of the biggest knocks on him has always been that he struggles to co-exist with other stars. Well, he's got two titles with Pau Gasol and an All-Star MVP performance (his 4th)for the ages that say otherwise. You see, Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant are very similar when on the hardwood and for anybody vying for a championship, there was no better and quiet frankly is no better to team up with to achieve such a feat.
The NBA is Kobe's league, the Staples Center is Kobe's "downtown dojo", and Los Angeles now and forever (without or without Kobe) will be Kobe "Bean" Bryant's town - like it or not.

Blake's or Kobe's town this All Star Weekend
With this weekend being All Star weekend in Los Angeles, the question being asked is will the city be Blake Griffin's or Kobe Bryant's city? Chris Broussard of ESPN, who I can not stand, gives his opinion on the subject. What do you think?

Question: Is Kobe Bryant Past His Prime?
As a Laker fan, I've seen the "Black Mamba" do things that only Michael Jordan did with consistency, and in some ways, Kobe in his prime WAS better than Michael in his prime.
That's right, I said it! It had to be said!
I emphasize WAS, because in my opinion, Kobe is no longer in his prime. Rather than sit here and rattle of stats, theories and list the reasons, I will keep this short, sweet and I will say with conviction that Kobe "Bean" Bryant simply is not the player he once was. Believe you-me, I say it with a heavy heart and it has absolutely nothing to do with my weight.
Let's start a healthy debate, shall we? Those of you out there that disagree with me, what say you?
