Derek Jeter At Center?

New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman recently suggested that 36-year old, Derek Jeter, could finish his career in the outfield - Center Field.

"Como Say What?!?"

Jeter is one of the few 'pure' ball players left in Major League Baseball. And by pure, I mean he has given us no reason to believe that he is a "doper".  He is a fan favorite, a hearth throb for women, a role model for children, and on the biggest stage Major League Baseball has to offer, he's been a heck of a player/teammate. However, despite his resume, there is one thing that Jeter has in common with many people - his age.

Unfortunately, he is not the spry guy who used to back hand amazing throws to get people out. Derek Jeter's age has caught up to him, and personally, I cannot see how putting him at Center Field is advantageous for the Yankees. Now, putting him in left or right field, that may make a bit more sense.

What do you baseball fans think?
