The Voice!

No, not that voice, it's not God calling. 

'The Voice' premiered Tuesday night, and lets just say, Chub is a fan!!!!

I know, I don't need to be a mind reader to know what everyone is thinking.........."another singing show!"  Or, "they are copying American Idol."  To both of those comments I say GOODDAY.COM. lol.
The Voice is nothing like American Idol, nor is it just another singing competition.  I truly think that this show has something new to offer America.  The show is actually based on an individual's voice.  The only downside to it is that the hottie to fugly ratio might not be very favorable for us viewers lol!!!!

Quick Facts: NBC 9/8c
Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee-lo Green, and Blake Shelton (country singer) are competing against each other to find the next "voice."  (pun totally intended).  The show is hosted by Carson Daly (wasn't too excited about this, my wife hates him).

So each artists will get a team of singers together (8).  Each team will compete against each other to win The Voice competition.  The unique part of it all is that the artists are there to act as coaches for the contestants.  The even cooler part is that the artists can only pick their team of singers based on what their voice sounds like.  Now, if two artists want the same contestant/singer then the singer gets to decided who he/she they would like to work with. 

Why should you watch it?

Not only is the concept fresh, new, and unique, but it allows people who would not get a shot at a career that is so heavily influenced by looks and opportunity.  In addition, the banter between the coaches is amazing.  The coaches seem to be truly vested in the project, which leads to good banter and competition. 

Currently, each coach has 3 singers on their team, and the blind auditions will continue to occur next week.  Make sure you catch it, you will not regret it.
