Manny The Old?

Is Manny Ramirez on the war path again? Ramirez was pulled from today's starting lineup against the Angels. It is being reported that Ramirez was pulled due to his lack luster performance. Since the season started, Ramirez has gone hit less in three out of the four games and has a batting average of .062.

 Ramirez signed a one year, two million dollar contract with Tampa Bay. There was not much interest in Ramirez this past off season. Before Tampa Bay, Ramirez started last season with the Dodgers where his welcome was on a short lease. When Dodgers first acquired Ramirez in 2008, the city was ready to crown him the king. He carried that team to the a couple wins away from going to the World Series. From that point on the honeymoon was coming to an end. He was later traded to the White Sox where he again did not meet the expectations of the team.

Again Ramirez finds himself in a slump as the season has started. If there is ever a time to go into a slump, now is the time. With only four games into the season , it is too early to make judgement on anyone but this seems to be the end of a great career. If Ramirez does not pick up the hitting, we could possibly see a short stint with Tampa Bay and also a future retirement press conference.
