Is Kobe Homophobic?

Last night the Los Angeles Lakers snapped their five game losing streak by beating the San Antonio Spurs. The story of the game was not the fact that the Lakers won or their starting center Andrew Bynum hyperextended his knee but what Kobe Bryant said when he received his 15th technical foul of the season.

As Bryant was headed to the bench, you could tell that he was very upset about the technical foul he received. As the cameras zoomed in, it seems that Bryant was caught yelling out a homophobic slur at the referee. Looking at the video, it looks like Bryant calls the referee a "f**king f*got."

Does Bryant deserved to be labeled a homophobic because of this moment last night? This happen at a time when he was very upset which we all know that sometimes our emotions get the best of us. I know that when I have been extremely upset, I have said some things that I wish I could take back. I think Bryant is looking at this today as something he regrets and we will probably hear an apology coming from his soon. I'm not trying to give Bryant a pass on this but I don't think that everyone should jump on him because of this.

Check out the video to see what you think.

ok, my honest opinion on this (and i will be as unbiased as i can): I don't think he should get stoned or anything for what was said (or not said), but i also don't believe that that word comes out of your mouth if you don't think like that. i mean he could've said ANYTHING else, and he chose that - i don't give a crap how mad he was...
