There has been a arrest warrant issued for Tampa Bay Buc's defensive back Aqib Talib. It is being reported that on March 21st, Talib and his mother fired a gun at his sister's boyfriend. The boyfriend was not injured. If convicted, Talib can receive a sentence of five to 20 years in prison. Authorities have issued warrants for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Talib's mother has turned herself in and per Talib's agent, he will turned himself in by the end of this week. His bail will be set at $25,000.
Before being drafted in the first round by Tampa Bay, his past was an issue with many teams. He was also suspended for the first game of last season due to an altercation he had with a cab driver. He was able to reach a financial settlement with the cab driver and was entered into a anger management program.
With the current NFL lockout, Commissioner Roger Goodell has said that all players are still subject to the league's personal conduct rules and disciplinary actions can be enforced once the lockout has been resolved.
