With the recent news of Dez Bryant and his homies being kicked out of the mall everyone begins to wonder if this kid has his head on straight. This question has been following him since he was at Oklahoma St. As you recall in his last year at Oklahoma St, he was suspended for the rest of the season for lying about meeting with Deion Sanders. Sanders serves as a mentor to many NFL players and as continue to help Bryant until this past summer. Sanders received a lot of scrutiny for being involved with Bryant and was really disappointed when he lied about the meeting to the NCAA.
Sanders recently came out to say" he needs help. He needs help. I told the Cowboys from day one to that he needs help. Matter of fact, they have a team in place to help him but you cannot tell a grown man what to do."
Sanders ended the relationship with Bryant when he became concerned with Bryant's negatively and how it was having a effect on the children in Sander's youth program. Sanders also said " I can't allow you to poison other kids that I'm trying to mentor and take to another level."
With all of the incidents that Bryant has been involved him since he's enter the league and with the falling out with Sanders shows where's this guy's head is at. The excuse of him being a young person can only go so far. I know it takes a lot for someone who had a rough childhood and to become a multi millionaire to make good decisions but it does take a man to make the tough decisions. This guy is too good to risk his career away. Hopefully he gets his head on straight and get me some touchdowns on my fantasy football team.
